Visit St. Joe State Park where you can find some of the best ATV trails and riders in Southeast Missouri. It is great for a weekend of riding with over 2000 acres set aside for off-roading.  Lots of sand flats and trails through the woods to run it wide open.  Be sure to bring a flag and helmet because you will be required to have these items.  It cost $3 a person to ride.  You will see ATV's, Dirtbikes, Dune Buggies, and other off-road vehicles.

Once you enter the park there is a large parking lot where you can put your vehicle or trailer, and if you didn't bring ramps don't worry. St. Joe State Park has concrete ramps that you can back your vehicle up to.  A carwash and a concession stand will be available this spring in the staging area, and there are a few pavillions and restrooms for public use.
Some cool areas in the park involve the drag strip area located on the the left hand side of the park.  You will find many people hanging out there on the weekends lining up for bragging rights.  As for the trails, I believe the best ones are on the right hand side of the park.  There is a couple of areas with some good whoops that can really send you flying.  Most of the trails end up wrapping around the lakes in the park.   You will see tons of wildlife while playing around, especially deer.

As for the level of difficulty, i would say it is moderate.  There is some challenging trails for the more experienced rider, and when it rains, it can be extremely difficult.  A lot of the park is sand flats, which flood with harder rains.  It can be fun, if you don't mind getting soaked!
