Tuff Atv has finally released their Honda Rancher 420 Snorkel Kit. This is a nice snorkel kit that doesn't require any cutting of the 420's plastics. You don't need to cut any holes, trim any pannels, nothing. It actually uses a factory cut hole. This factory cut hole is the hole on the right side of the quad when sitting on it, where the gas petcock it. The kit requires you to remove your gas petcock so you can fit the snorkel through the factory cut hole in the panel.

Some people may not like the idea of removing the knob that turns their gas on reserve, off and on. Customers who have bought the kit have changed their minds on that. Most leave theirs on reserve after installing their snorkel. Worst comes to worst, you can just remove the snorkel, and install the petcock to change what settings your gas is on. Some of the customers say they can still turn the petcock when they reach their hands behind the snorkel as well. It's a great way to personalise the vehicle, and whether your major kicks in life come from ATVs, reading a good book or playing games on Getminted, it's always enjoyable to upgrade and personalise as a side-hobby.

Since the Rancher 420 is fuel injected, after installing the snorkel, you won't need to make any adjustments to your 420. With most carburated atvs, you usually need to re-jet the carburator after installing a snorkel. No re-jetting or anything is needed on the Rancher 420s. Now, if you have any aftermarket parts on your engine (Air filter, exhaust, etc) , Tuff Atv is not sure how the Rancher will re-act with the snorkel on it as well.

The snorkel also has tapped vents on it for the 4 breather lines. This cleans up having 4 tubes running along your snorkel and makes it look alot cleaner. The breather lines just plug into the snorkel under neath the side pannel. The point of having these breather lines re-routed is because, if water goes into these lines, thats not very good. So, plugging them into the snorkel gets rid of the chance of water getting into them.

The package comes with a very detailed instructions manual. You should not run into any problems installing the snorkel if you have this instruction manual. In the bag, there is also a great snorkel stabilizer. In other words, parts to stabilize the snorkel to the front of the atvs rack. This allows the whole space of the front rack to still be able to be used.

In the end, this snorkel is very nice. The styling is great, and almost looks factory. You can plug your breather lines into it. You don't need to cut up your brand new plastics, and your Rancher runs great after installation.
